A percentage increase in the temperature of the earth surface is enough to cause disastrous natural calamities. The effects of global warming are dangerous and severe and finally results in serious effects to the human population. There are wide spread diseases and contamination owing to natural calamities like floods and unseasonal downpour. The incessant rains and alarming erosion of habitat is proof enough that global warming is taking place.

The melting glacier which is the early sign of heating of the earth’s atmosphere is a great cause of concern. The drastic change in climate is another effect of global warming. One can see a noticeable change in the snow melting faster in the poles and also there is a change in the habitat of birds and animals. Extintiction of species can be very well linked to lack of habitat or pollution. Floods and earthquakes emit poisonous substances that make it impossible for animals to live. In a quest to change habitat, species migrate and many times there is not much left for them to adapt.

The effects of deforestation are felt all around the world for occupying humans in urban concrete constructions. There is a high degree of pollution emitted from cars, which seems to the common mode of transport in all developed nations. The uncontrollable nature of the gases from industrial pollution is another cause of concern.

The effect is direct as the oxygen level is going far below the level and there is increase in carbon dioxide. There are various statistical data collated so that a direct approach can be given to curb the problem. Stabilizing the temperature of the earth’s surface has to be a collective job and there are organizations that are trying hard to get the message across.

The increase in sea level and high temperature makes water to evaporate and form clouds. This clearly indicates high rainfall also during off season and this is a cause of concern as excess rainfall can damage crops and habitat. The soil giving away can also cause floods owing to change in the course of rivers and this leads to illnesses too.

The direct effect of global warming is certainly on economy as each disaster brings with it a malady of problems. Houses have to be rebuilt and peoples lives have to be redone which is a huge load on the financial aspect of the country. The destruction has its effects for a long time as environmental hazards like earthquakes leaves its residue mentally and ecologically.
